Basic Trick #3: Big Scoop

Now we start the neat stuff. Have you tried picking up your spinning top yet? You can -- if you know a little trick or two. If you try to grab your spinning top, you will stop it in your hand. You can try lots of ways to make it jump up into your hand. The easy way is to spin the top on the floor. Next using the hand that you spun the top with (the one that holds the anchor button), slip your fingers apart with the spinning top between your first and second finger. You don't need to touch the top until you want it in your hand.

When you want the top to hop neatly into your hand, bump it up with your index finger. The spinning top will hop up in one easy bounce into your hand. Once the top is in your hand, try tossing it into the air a few inches and catching it again.
